Cookin’ For Kids is an event where local “celebrities” (Business Owners, well known and thought of community leaders) come together to cook their “go-to” dish. We plan to have at least 50 chefs in attendance. We will open the event with a “Parade of Chefs” introducing them and the company they represent. After the Parade we will open the food stations for our guests to sample some of everything. As guests make their way around to the decorated chef booths, they will have the opportunity to “tip” their favorite chef. Chefs will also have a pre fundraiser goal of raising $500 in tips (or more). We will calculate total tips and name “Best Chef” at the end of the evening by awarding the coveted Golden Spatula.
During the evening while people are eating we will be circulating the crowd to sell ½ pot tickets, Keys for the “surprise box”, and Bourbon pop ping pong balls. This will also be a great time for our guests to head to the hallway to check out our auction items.
We will ask everyone to take their seats so we can have a small program and allow a representative from each organization to speak. Our emcee will make a donation appeal to the crowd and we will follow with our celebration of “Best Chef”.
After this- the DJ will play dance music. People are free to stay until 10pm.
