Tiki Trot 10K, 5K

ABOUT THE RACE
The 2018 Tiki Trot 10K, 5K & Fun Run, to be held Friday, July 27, is a fun, family-oriented event held at the Woodford County Park on a cross-country course.

You read that right…it’s our 10th Anniversary of the Tiki Trot and we’re adding a 10K to celebrate! 

With the addition of the 10K, there are of course a few changes.  The Fun Run will begin at 6:30 PM and the 10K & 5K will start together at 7 PM.  Keeping with the theme, the course will be lit with Tiki Torches & all race finishers will receive a very special welcome as they cross the finish line.  If you’re up for even more fun, wear your best island attire during the race!

The 5K race is chip timed event by Headfirst Performance.

Proceeds benefit the Versailles-Woodford County Parks & Recreation Scholarship Fund.  This fund offers assistance to individuals & families with financial need so they can participate in Parks & Recreation programs as well as utilize the Falling Springs Center.  Scholarships are used to provide aid for adult & children in programs such as youth basketball, Start Smart sports programs, martial arts, swim lessons, fitness programs & more, as well as for passes to Falling Springs Center.

Everyone deserves a chance to move, be active & get healthy.  Your participation will help make that happen!

COURSE DESCRIPTION
This event is for participants of all ages & skill levels.

→  1 Mile Fun Run/Walk Course:  Enjoy a torch lit walk or run on a 1-mile course on the County Park Trails. This event is at 6:30 PM.

→  10K & 5K Courses:  The 10K & 5K races are held on the Woodford County Park cross-country course, which is one of the most beautiful & challenging cross-country courses in the state.  Whether you walk or run, you are sure to enjoy this beautiful course. Both races will begin at 7 PM.

The route will be further enhanced by Tiki Torches that will light the course on race day.  It will make for a perfect summer evening walk or run!  (10K & 5K race entry includes the Fun Run!)
