Running with the Buffaloes 5K Run/Walk & 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk

Running with the Buffaloes is the opening event of the City of Baker Buffalo Festival.  It is a community spirit event designed to get everyone excited about the upcoming 3 day Buffalo Festival.  This event includes a competitive 5K run through the scenic neighborhoods of Baker, a 1 mile Fun Run/Walk held at the Baker Football stadium, a Baker Schools Challenge 1 mile run/walk and a Let’s Take a Stroll stroller event.  
 
Event Details:  There will be vendors onsite, Knock-Knock museum mobile unit, the EBR parish early childhood team and the EBR parish bookmobile will be on-site to entertain our young entrants. 
 
Registration Fees: 
5K early registration fee   $20.00 open through April 7, 2022 
                                            $25.00 fee day of the event
 
1 Mile Fun Run early registration fee - Baker Schools Challenge – Let’s Take a Stroll 
Early registration fee:     $15.00 through April 7, 2022 
                                          $20.00 day of the event
 
Packet Pickup (Location, Date & Time):
Race packets for 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run can be picked up on the day of the event @ the Baker High School Football Stadium beginning @ 7:00 am
 
Age Groups:
5K Age Groups:   1-14,15-19,20-29,30- 39,etc. 70+
 
Awards:
5K Awards:  Top Overall Male & Female, & 1st, 2nd, 3rd, Male & Female in each age group
1 Mile Fun Run Awards:  Top Overall Male & Female for 14 & Under
Team Registrations:
There will be teams from the schools in the area competing for the largest number of registrants.
Child Care Centers teams competing for the largest number of registrants and the largest number of decorated strollers.
