Hill's 29th Annual Great Rover Road Run 2022 (virtual)

Hill's Great Rover Road Run (GRRR) is an annual event with the goal of promoting health and wellness for our four-legged friends and ourselves with the added benefit of raising money the LSU Veterinary Teaching Hospital's Good Samaritan Fund.  This is a fun and exciting event for all involved!  Whether you are ready for a 5K or simply want to take your pet for a fun stroll, this event promises a day full of activities and community togetherness. All proceeds and donations from the 2022 race will go to the LSU SVM Veterinary Teaching Hospital's Good Samaritan Fund which is used to treat owner-less animals who are sick or injured.  

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, this year's race will be completed virtually. Take your sneakers to a route you love or explore and find a new one! 

Please park your vehicle in the parking lot across from the vet school and walk across Skip Bertman Drive to the GRRR table on the back side of the auditorium. A detailed map with how to locate the race pack table will be sent out later. Your race pack will include a GRRR T-Shirt and a Hill's Pet Nutrition Goodie bag. You may designate someone to pick up your pack for you. We also please ask that our participants wear masks and social distance when picking up their packs! Thank you for your commitment in keeping your peers healthy and safe.

Last day for registration with a race t-shirt included is March 10, 2022 at 11:59PM!

You may register for the race leading up to race day on March 26, 2022!

*RACE PACK PICK-UP*: March 25th from 4-6 PM under the breezeway of the LSU Vet School! If you are unable to make it at this time, email wellnesscommittee.lsusvm@gmail.com and we can accommodate something for you!

Registration/Check-In will begin on the morning of March 26, 2022 online via Runsignup at 8AM. You will have until 12PM to complete the 5k, submit your pet's costume/trick, or submit your raffle entry. Winners will be announced at 5PM via the Race Facebook Page. 

If you cannot attend the race, but would like to donate, you can do so through this website as well. Thank you for your contribution!  

Prizes:

We will be giving away Raffle Prizes for any participant that uses the #HillsGRRR2022 on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram. You may post your picture on the GRRR event page or your own page (Each participant is only allowed 2 raffle tickets max).

Best Pet Costume and Best Pet Trick Contest

Post a video or picture of your pet wearing their cutest costume or performing their coolest trick! Use the #HillsPetCostume or #HillsPetTrick along with #HillsGRRR2022 for the respecting contest. There will be a special Hill's Pet Nutrition Gift Basket for the winner of each contest! 

Prize Pickup:

During the week of April 4th through 8th, you will be able to pick up your prize at the vet school! We will hold your prizes at the security desk to the left upon entering the front entrance. Please provide identification to receive your prize! If you cannot pick your prize up then, please contact us at wellnesscommittee.lsusvm@gmail.com for additional arrangements.
