Because of the structure of the race, the competition of the teams and the payment aspect, this is the only way we can accommodate all aspects to work together. It seems complicated but if the instructions below are followed, it will work.
These are the Instructions on how this works:
Instructions on Creating a Corporate Team for Its Employees Competitive Teams
1. The Corporate Team is used only to setup the Company Name of the employees that will compete in the Competitive Teams for Division 1, 2, 3, or 4 depending on the number of employees working for the Company.
2. Click on the Blue Icon below “Create a Corporate Team” to get started.
3. Click on Create A New Team (the green button to the right) to set up the company name, payment options, Password Code and how many employees will be paid for.
4. The Password Code created will connect all members of the Competitive Teams that are created to the Corporate Team and for payment purposes. This Code must be given to all who register.
Instructions on Creating and Joining a Competitive Team for Competition
1. The Captain of each individual team will create the Competitive Team Name for competition in the race. This is done while the Captain is registering their self.
The members will join the Competitive Team.
2. Click on the Purple Icon "Join a Corporate Team" to get started.
3. Next, Click on the "Join A Corporate Team" Green Button
4. Next, Click on the "Join" Green Button for the Company Name. This is where the Captain will register and create the Team Name for their team.
5. They will click on "Competitive Team" button. The Captains will click on "New Competitive Team" button to create the name.
The members will click on the Drop Down List and choose the team name from here when they are registering.
6. After the Captain creates the Team Name, which should be unique, the Captain can also enter all their team members at that time and then go on to checkout. Or each member can go thru the registration process themselves.
7. When they click on Continue, they will enter the Password Code to be able to finish their registration.
EVENT DESCRIPTION
The Providence Corporate Cup is a 5K run/walk held in Downtown and Mid City Baton rouge that not only advocates wellness in the workplace but supports two great causes: Mid City Redevelopment and Big Buddy.
Race headquarters and Post-race party held at the newly renovated North Blvd. Town Square. The event offers a 3.1 mile course running through beautiful downtown and developing Mid City, four race divisions to suit the organization, awards to winners in each division, the Corporate Wellness Award, Fast 400, Company T-shirt design contest, Oldie but Goodie Award for the oldest male and female runners, Tent decorating contest, food and fun, being fit, learning more about living longer and healthier, nutrition and building camaraderie with your team and friends, a “Future CEO” obstacle challenge for ages 14 and under, chip timing and more!

Participation is not limited to competitors only; many companies have on-site tent locations for their employees, business associates, family and friends to be a part of the community-driven event.
Packet Pickup
March 19 & 20, 2015 from 9 a.m. to 5p.m. at Mid City Redevelopment Alliance: 419 N.19th Street, Baton Rouge, LA 70802 (225-346-1000) Please enter the warehouse on 18th Street on the side of the building. Cars will be directed to drive-thru to exit onto 19th Street. We will have Providence Corporate Cup Packet Pick-Up signage out each day to help with directions.
If you are picking up multiple packets or for a company, please have a list of everyone you are recieving packets for. We will have a list but want to make sure we get them all delivered for race day.

T-Shirt Design Contest
Corporations that register for the Providence Corporate Cup will have the opportunity to enter the Providence Corporate Cup T-shirt Design Contest.
Because the Corporate Cup is all about corporate camaraderie and unity, as well as employee health and happiness, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place awards will be given for the design that shows the most creativity in demonstrating one or more of these items. Providence reserves the right to incorporate the winning artwork into the following year’s race theme.
Please submit a sample T-shirt and artwork of the design in jpeg format suitable for posting on the Providence Corporate Cup website by March 9, 2015.
T-shirts must be designed by company employee(s).
Corporate Wellness Award
The Corporate Wellness Award is presented to an organization that is a “pacesetter” in the area of corporate wellness in the Greater Baton Rouge Community. Wikipedia defines “corporate wellness” as “an employee wellness program having a function for increasing employee morale, loyalty, and productivity within a corporate culture. A large number of corporations are starting to see the huge value in a new wellness program that improves the health and wellness of their entire employee population.” The organization nominating itself or another for this award must be doing business within the capital region. A press release will be issued immediately following the race with details of the winner and the winner’s program.
Nominations for the 2015 Corporate Wellness Award will be received until March 9, 2015. Specific benefits experienced by the organization, its employees, the community, etc. should be described and will be given special attention. *Personal comments, attachments, and examples to support your nomination are welcomed.

Race Rules:
1. A Providence Corporate Cup team is composed of three individuals for (Division 1) or four individuals for (Division 2, 3, and 4) individuals of the same company – at least one must be female, one must be male, and one must be 40 years or older – each corporate team member must have been employed by the company for at least 1,000 hours. 2. A Providence Fun Team is composed of four individuals – individuals do not have to be employed by the same company nor do they have to meet the age/sex demographics. 3. Replacements to a team must be made by March 18, 2015. 4. Runners and walkers only. Strollers permitted, but no bikes, skates, or skateboards allowed. 5. Wheelchair athletes are welcome. 6. No geographical restrictions on team or individual participation. 7. There will be no race day registration. Sorry, NO EXCEPTIONS! 8. Though they are “a man’s best friend,” we ask that you leave your pets at home.
