Go for the Gold

Join us for the annual Go for the Gold 5 K & Fun Run Benefiting The Arc Caddo-Bossier's Goldman School and Child Development Centers! This community tradition is set to take place on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at A.C. Steere Park, located at 4009 Youree Dr. The event promises a morning of fitness, fun, and community, starting with the Fun Run at 8:00 a.m. and the 5K at 8:15 a.m. Runners will enjoy a scenic route through the Broadmoor neighborhood, beginning and ending at A.C. Steere Park. Overflow parking will be available at Broadmoor Baptist Church, located across the street.

Since its founding in 1954, The Arc Caddo-Bossier has been committed to building unlimited opportunities for people with disabilities. Through a diverse range of programs and services, The Arc Caddo-Bossier continues to empower infants, children, and adults with disabilities and their families across Shreveport, Bossier City, and Northwest Louisiana. The Arc Caddo-Bossier’s founding program, the Goldman School and Child Development Centers, offers an inclusive, year-round educational environment for children aged 8 weeks (about 2 months) to 5 years. Want a Go For The Gold 5k shirt, but you do not want to register for the race?
Sign up as a Sleep In Supporter, you still get a race shirt. You just don't have to break a sweat to get it!

If you are registering for the race and just want an extra shirt, 
you may purchase an extra shirt while registering. Extra shirts are $15.00 each.

*You must register or purchase a shirt by March 6th to be guaranteed a shirt.

Course Description:

The Race will start at A. C. Steere Park , 4009 Youree Drive, and continue through the Broadmoor neighborhood. 
*Parking across street at  Broadmoor Baptist Church.*

Packet Pickup:

Packet pick up will be at Sportspectrum.

• Thursday March 19th from 10:00 a.m.—6:00 p.m.

• Friday March 20th from 10:00 a.m.—4:45 p.m.

• Friday March 20th from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Rotolo's

Packet Pickup Party:

This year we are partnering with Rotolo's on E. 70th to have a carb loading party! Whether you need to grab your race packet, still want to register, or simply want to fuel up with some great food and good company the night before the race, this is the place to be!

• Friday March 20th from 5 p.m.—8 p.m.

• Or you can pick your packet up race morning at the race site starting at 7:00 a.m.

Awards:

$250 Visa Gift Card to first place overall Male & Female for the 5K

$100 Visa Gift Card to second place overall Male & Female for the 5K

1st & 2nd Place Male & Female in each of the following age groups will also win an award: 19-under, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, and 70+

Finisher prizes to the first 300 finishers
