Have you ever wanted to do a marathon but weren't sure you could do it all at once? Join us virtually as we travel the route of the iconic Boston Marathon during the week of Patriots' Day. This is a 9-day challenge of less than 3 miles a day. Do what you want, when you want to do it, from wherever you are!
Starting Saturday, April 17, 2021, Horse SenseAbility will host a marathon that virtually begins at the starting line line in Hopkinton, Massachusetts and ends at the Prudential Center in downtown Boston for a total of 26.2 miles. You can do any combination of walking, hiking, running, horseback riding, biking, swimming, rowing or other activity that involves moving a distance to get to the finish line. You will track the distance for all your activities at RunSignup.com.
Registration is open until Monday, April 19 and includes an adult or youth t-shirt . Your name will also be entered into a drawing to win a New England Patriots football signed by running back James White.

From 1897 to 1968, the Boston Marathon was held on Patriots’ Day, April 19, a holiday commemorating the start of the Revolutionary War and recognized only in Massachusetts and Maine. Since 1969 the Marathon has been held on the 3rd Monday in April which is when the Massachusetts officially celebrates the Patriots' Day holiday.
The course runs through 26 miles 385 yards of winding roads into the center of Boston, where the official finish line is located at Copley Square alongside the Boston Public Library. The race runs through eight Massachusetts cities and towns: Hopkinton, Ashland, Framingham, Natick, Wellesley, Newton, Brookline and Boston.
Horse SenseAbility is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping underserved and at-risk youth and young adults develop life skills by working with horses in a peaceful, rural setting. We particularly focus on working with 4- to 24-year-olds who have experienced trauma and abuse, struggle with mental and cognitive challenges, have been in foster care, live in financially stressful circumstances, and are immigrants or refugees. We serve a racially and ethnically diverse population from Framingham, Boston and MetroWest.
