Description
Due to the current situation surrounding Covid-19, we have decided to move this year’s Flag Day 5K to a Virtual Race. We know that for many this race is not only a day to celebrate Derek’s life, but also a day to honor all of those who have served our country.
While these challenging times may be keeping us a part physically, that doesn’t mean we cannot be together virtually and honor Derek as well as our military personnel and families. This year’s Virtual Flag Day 5K is a free event for all who would like to participate. We encourage all of you to run or walk a 5K on the weekend of Flag Day (June 13th and 14th, 2020) and share your pictures by tagging us on social media @derekhinesfund on Instagram and Facebook. (Please remember to follow social distance guidelines and not gather or run in groups of people).
We all know that you love your medals and we didn’t want anyone to miss out this year. Anyone who makes a donation to race will receive a medal for this year’s race. The medal will be mailed to your registration address following the Virtual Flag Day 5K.
