Chatham Marconi's Antenna Trail Challenge - a Virtual Event

Join Chatham Marconi for our Second Annual Antenna Trail Challenge (ATC2): a virtual event offering you a chance to win terrific prizes as well as to support the historic Chatham Marconi Maritime Center located in Chatham, MA. The Center’s museum and educational programs preserve local radio communication history and promote knowledge of communication technology from Marconi’s spark to modern wireless.

2022 marks the 20th anniversary of the formation of Chatham Marconi. With your support, proceeds from ATC2 will directly support Chatham Marconi and its programs as we look forward to our next 20 years. With a range of events to choose from, ATC2 offers options for the entire family.  Sign up for a challenge to be entered into the drawing for the prize of your choice. Challenge Options::

• Antenna Trail Loop 400M Challenge - distance of a round trip on our Antenna Trail
• Transmitter 5K Challenge - distance from the Marconi Center to the location of the South Chatham Transmitter Station.
• Trans-Atlantic Half-Marathon Challenge - distance from the Marconi Center to the location of Marconi's original Wellfleet towers.

Complete the challenge of your choice any time between April 25 and May 1 and on any route that you choose. Walk, run, bike, drive, swim, sail, fly a drone--any means of motion qualifies in this virtual event.  When you have completed your challenge, report your results. Be sure to post your photos to your social media of your choice with the hash tag #AntennaTrailChallenge.

If you are interested in ideas about where to do your challenge, we do offer a suggested route for each challenge, but they are only suggestions.
