Description
The July 4th festivities in Plymouth, Mass. are among the largest in the country. There are an estimated 100,000 people who fill the streets of America’s Hometown to witness the parade and fireworks display. It is only fitting and proper that we start the day with a road race to pave the way for the parade.
Anew is the 2nd Annual Plymouth Independence Day 5K. Last years success boasted nearly 700 runners signed-up for a first year race, and this year, we are coming back in a big way. Once again, we will be offering technical singlet race shirts for runners signed up by June 16th.
There will be plenty of motivation to trudge through the heat as spectators will be in place to cheer you on. For those who do not wish to stay for the parade, there will be bussing for a speedy exit from the finish line. We have also moved the start time up a half hour, so you will have plenty of time to make it to the beach.
This year, the 4th falls on a Friday. Kickoff your Independence Day weekend by participating in a road race with a finish line at the birth place of America!
