W&F Painting Solutions LLC in Waltham, MA — Local Expertise, Community Roots, and a Move Waltham Offer

W&F Painting Solutions has been working in Waltham since 2017. Not passing through — based here, at 254 River Street, with William Morales handling every estimate personally from North Waltham down through the Bleachery, Lakeview, and Warrendale. The homes in this town have specific demands: older Colonials with layered paint history and plaster walls that need real repair before a finish coat, triple-deckers near the Bleachery with moisture problems from heavy tree canopy, properties in North Waltham where freeze-thaw cycles crack caulk and peel siding edges every single winter. W&F understands those demands because they have spent eight years solving them on these exact streets.

As a thank-you to everyone who participates in Move Waltham, W&F Painting Solutions is offering every registered participant a free exterior inspection alongside their written estimate. William will walk your property, show you what he finds — wood rot, failing caulk, moisture damage, anything that needs to be addressed before paint goes on — and give you a straight assessment with no pressure to move forward. Mention Move Waltham when you call.

Trusted Middlesex house painters since 2017. Visit the Waltham page or call William directly at (781) 392-8341 — same-day response, free written estimate, no surprises.

Explore Waltham — Route Ideas for Your Move Waltham Virtual Walk or Run

One of the best things about a virtual event is that the route is entirely yours. Move Waltham does not have a fixed course — it has a city. And Waltham is a city worth exploring on foot. Whether you have been walking the same streets for twenty years or you are looking for a new way to see the town you live in, February 1st is a good day to find a route that feels like Waltham to you.

To help you plan, we put together a neighborhood-by-neighborhood route guide covering some of the most walkable and runnable stretches across Waltham. Download it below — and use it however works for you.

North Waltham

North Waltham has some of the most open stretches in the city. Lexington Street and Trapelo Road both offer long, manageable corridors with sidewalks and relatively flat terrain — good for walkers logging steady distance. Hardy Pond Road loops past Hardy Pond itself, which in February is quiet, frost-edged, and genuinely beautiful. Bacon Street and Prospect Hill Road take you into the hillier edges of the neighborhood where the views back toward Waltham center are worth the climb.

The Bleachery

The Bleachery is one of Waltham's most distinctive neighborhoods — a compact grid of streets built around the old textile mill history of the city. Crescent Street, Heard Street, Bancroft Street, and Clematis Avenue form a walkable loop that stays in the neighborhood without requiring a long stretch. The architecture here is different from the rest of Waltham — closer together, more layered — and the streets have a character that rewards a slow pace. Good choice for walkers who want a complete loop under two miles.

Lakeview

Lakeview sits on the eastern edge of Waltham near the Newton line, anchored by the reservoir and the green spaces that run along it. Lake Street and Lakeview Avenue follow the water and are a natural out-and-back for runners who want a predictable, quieter route. Prospect Street climbs slightly before leveling out with views toward the reservoir — one of the better stretches in Waltham for a cold-morning run when the air is clear and the light is low.

Warrendale

Warrendale is the neighborhood that sits along the Route 20 corridor on Waltham's western side. Warren Avenue and the side streets off Newton Street give you a residential grid that works well for walkers who prefer steady, flat ground. The proximity to the Newton line means you can extend your route across the border if you want more distance — Newton Street continues west and picks up the West Newton character quickly. For participants who want to keep it simple, Warrendale's grid is forgiving and easy to navigate.

Waltham Center & River Street

The center of Waltham — along Moody Street, Main Street, and the Charles River corridor — is the most urban stretch available. The Charles River Reservation runs along the southern edge of the city and offers paved paths that follow the river through Waltham and beyond. River Street connects the reservation path to the core of the city, passing through the heart of downtown Waltham. For participants who want to cover real Waltham ground in a single route, a loop from Moody Street down to the Charles River path and back along River Street covers the city's most recognizable geography in roughly three miles.

However you move on February 1st — whether it is a careful loop through the Bleachery or a longer run from North Waltham down to the river — Move Waltham counts every step.
