Description

Are you as fast (or faster) than a Navy sailor? Join us on Sunday, October 7th for the inaugural Fleet Week 5K to find out! Run alongside visiting U.S., Canadian and British sailors and use your feet to see the fleet of visiting ships docked throughout the harbor. Runners will receive a Fleet Week t-shirt and those over 21 will receive a ticket for a free post-race beer – Heavy Seas Beer, Atlas Brew Works, and Union Craft Brewing will be on tap! It’s going to be a morning of fun festivities and excitement for all! After you cross the finish line, be sure to stick around for some snacks, drinks and awards and get ready for the Fleet Week Festival to kick off for the day. Bands will start performing shortly after the race, and Air Show Baltimore will have its full performance later in the afternoon!

$50 (Packet Pick-up and Race Day price)

Note: If you wish to pick up race materials for someone else you will be required to show a note of permission. We appreciate your cooperation.

Shirts will be provided to all registered participants.

Awards:

Medals will be awarded to the top three Male and Female overall finishers as well as top male and female finisher in the following age groups (14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 and over).

Medals will also be awarded to the top Male and Female Sailor.

is the management team producing Maryland Fleet Week & Air Show Baltimore with many city, state and national partners. Located in the heart of Baltimore's Inner Harbor, Historic Ships in Baltimore is the steward of four historic vessels: the US Sloop-of-War CONSTELLATION and the US submarine TORSK, the US Coast Guard Cutter TANEY, Lightship 116 Chesapeake, and the Seven Foot Knoll Lighthouse, built in 1856 to mark the entrance to the Patapsco River and Baltimore Harbor.  As significant symbols of our nation's maritime heritage, the non-profit organization plays a key role in the heritage and cultural landscape within the City of Baltimore and strives to raise awareness throughout Maryland and the United States of these important elements of our nation's history. Maryland Fleet Week and Air Show Baltimore celebrates the rich maritime traditions of the Chesapeake Bay and the contributions of Marylanders to the defense of the nation. The USAF Thunderbirds’ jets and other aircraft will be on display on the Martin State Airport tarmac and in the skies over Fort McHenry and Middle Branch while U.S., Canadian and British navy vessels will be ready for boarding visitors in the Inner Harbor, Fells Point and Locust Point throughout the week and weekend.
