2024 HCRC Dog Days of Summer

The Dog Days of Summer Series will begin on the weekend of June 2nd and will end on August 30h.

There is a $30 cost for members to participate in the 2024 Dog Days of Summer Series. This price will cover the premium for runners who fulfill the requirements for this series. The premium will be a logo’d item, and will be a surprise to those who earn it

Note: If you wish to participate but not receive a premium, you may do so without paying
the $30. (Note: For those who do pay, all points must be earned to receive the premium).

Earning Dog Days of Summer Series Points
Club members must earn a total of 8 points.
Members must meet a minimum requirement of 6 participation points and 1 volunteer point and 1 plogging point.
Participants must sign up to participate in each individual run.  A sign-up link will be sent to all participants prior to each weekend.

Participation points – (6 minimum)

• 1 point for participating in the DDoS run

Volunteer points: (1 minimum) – Dates TBD

• 1 point for volunteering at the Bel Air Town Run (2 possible days to volunteer- Packet pick up day before and day of the event- registration/clean-up)
• 1 point for hosting a Dog Days of Summer run
• 1 point for volunteering in a HCRC Adopt-a-Highway cleanup

Go For A Plog 5K – (1 point)

• Run/Jog your favorite 5k route and pick up trash along that route.
• Keep your GPS tracker on so we can see where you cleaned and submit a screenshot of your tracker along with the trash you picked up to snowflake_results@runharford.com
• Share your plogging adventure on social media with hashtags #goplogging #ploggingHCRC
• Complete any day before August 30th
  Note: Cannot be combined with a scheduled DDOS run.
