Without YOU, our work this year would not have been possible. Because of YOU, we responded to every call for food assistance and delivered food to hungry families. We are grateful to YOU, our partner in fighting food insecurity where we live. But our work is not done, and we are again counting on YOU.

Food insecurity is on the rise, and with grocery store food costs up 2.7%, funding for government assistance programs like the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), and inflation on the rise, we know that 2026 will be a challenge for those in need and for the organizations who support them, like Bethesda Help. This year Bethesda Help has seen a 12% increase in the number of food deliveries made over the previous year, and we anticipate the need to grow in the months ahead.

Your donation to our mission is solely focused on helping fight food insecurity here, in our local area. Bethesda Help meets a need that most other charitable food organizations don’t - we recognize that lack of transportation or the inability to easily get around or take public transportation are barriers for many. That is why all our deliveries of shelf-stable food, Kids Snack Bags, and grocery gift cards are made curbside at their residence. And because we operate with an all-volunteer workforce, donated pantry space, and almost no overhead, 96% of all donations go directly to serving local families in need.

To meet this demand, we have set a fundraising goal of $50,000. Your donation toward this goal means we are one step closer to having the funds needed to further our food delivery and grocery card programs in the new year.
