Bigbie Black Sox 5k

On Sunday, May 6th the Bigbie Black Sox 8u travel baseball team will be calling the Idlewild Park home base for their 5k run/walk. 

The Bigbie Black Sox 8u travel baseball team  is based out of Centreville but the players are from all surrounding areas, Talbot, Caroline, Queen Anne and Kent County. Last season was sort of a trial run and we only participated in 3 tournaments but it was very rewarding  and the kids loved it. We were the underdogs but ended coming home with a championship. For such young boys they give it their all. Our team immediately clicked & we became family. We are super stoked for this season.

We are having this fundraiser to help offset the cost of the tournaments, equipment, uniforms & fees for the players. We are hoping to raise enough that we can provide some financial scholarships for a couple of the players. Our tournaments are located in MD, DE, PA & possibly NJ. Right now we have 6-7 tournaments scheduled for this season but are possibly looking to add a couple more.

Our race morning will start at 8am for packet pickup and race day registration. With a start time of 9am, this course will travel from Idlewild Park on to the Easton Rails-To-Trails and return along the same path. 

Come out and support youth baseball and our 8u team, so that we can continue to grow on the success of last year!

Registration is $30 until race day!!
