Description
Cranksgiving on Maryland's Eastern Shore, brought to you by the Chesapeake College honor society Phi Theta Kappa
Cranksgiving is a food drive on two wheels. It is part bike ride and part madcap scavenger hunt. All you need is a bicycle, a helmet, a lock, and a bag!
This event is FREE, but you'll need $15-$20 to purchase food. Donations will support St. Vincent De Paul, and the Chesapeake College food pantry.
Pedal the streets and trails of your town as you search for specific ingredients that make up a Thanksgiving dinner. Once you've collected all items and arrived at the finish, this feast will be donated to our town's most needy.
Cranksgiving is a national event that occurs in nearly 100 cities across the United States. Visit www.cranksgiving.org for more locations and information about the organization.
Don't have a bike? Come to the pre-race trash clean up competition! The entry fee is any plant-based canned food. The participant with the most trash at the end of the allotted time will be announced the winner and will receive a prize.
