Family Services, Inc.

Family Services Inc. an affiliate of Sheppard & Enoch Pratt Foundation is the only broad-based organization in the community offering a wide range of services under one roof since 1908.  We provide social services, on a voluntary basis, to people from birth to their senior years to help them become and remain fully functioning and contributing members of the community.  Family Services, Inc. helps children, adults, and families in the areas of education, child development, family support, and health and behavioral health. No other organization provides the breadth and depth of social services that we do; in 2012 alone Family Services provided services to over 20,000 people in Montgomery County.  As of 2013, our services have extended to Prince George’s County as well as Baltimore County.

The Montgomery Village Rotary Club

The Montgomery Village Rotary Club has been actively assisting the community since 1982. If you are not familiar with Rotary, it is an organization that not only promotes “Service Above Self” but implements it, as well. The Montgomery Village Rotary has multiple ongoing projects and programs. The Club has a special focus on programs that promote the welfare of children and students. We also actively assist organizations that support individuals and families in need. Part of an international campaign, we are involved in Polio Plus, eradicating polio world-wide and have recently been the force behind the Basra project, providing prosthetics to amputees in war torn Iraq. The Club’s membership consists of a wide variety of professionals. The most important attribute that our members possess is a willingness to donate a small amount of time to make better, the lives of those less fortunate.
