Event Description
Community Advocates for Family & Youth (CAFY) the victim services provider of choice for Prince George's, City of Bowie, Greenbelt and Laurel Police Departments. Providing clients with support, advocacy, counseling, legal services, and family programs. April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month. In support of this month and the many survivors of sexual assault, CAFY's Board in partnership with Text2stop will hold a 3-5K Run/Walk/Roll to raise funds for the sexual assault survivors.
For each participant that registers, we will be able to provide transportation for a survivor to attend a Court Education session where CAFY educates victims on the court process and their victim rights. For every 5 people that register, a victim will be able to receive trauma-focused therapy at our CAFY Counseling & Family Center. Register today and help support survivors of sexual assault on their journey to healing and justice.
This is a family event so gather your children, grandparents, spouse, and co-workers and walk for sexual assault survivorship.

CAFY 5K Fun Run, Walk and Roll check-in begins at 7:30am, and the warm up begins at 8am. Runners start at 8:30am and the Walk and Roll starts at 8:45am.
All 5K participants registered by March 21, 2020, will receive a shirt. Late registrants are not guaranteed shirt.

5K Adult Run/Walk -Before 3/20 (includes T-Shirt) $30.00
5K Adult Run/Walk - After 3/21 & on-site (No T-Shirt) $35.00
Virtual Walker - Sign up and participate any time/place or watch virtually on social media $20.00 Donation

About CAFY:
CAFY's mission is to embrace, educate and empower those impacted, affected, or harmed by crime or trauma on their journey to justice and healing. We pride ourselves on being able to provide services at little to no cost to clients, who are referred to us directly from the Laurel, Bowie, Greenbelt and Prince George’s County Police Departments. We also serve clients who learn about our services from other resources and seek us out.
