JPMS PTSA Timberwolf Trot & Treat

Please join us for the 2nd Annual JPMS Timberwolf Trot & Treat.  We will be hosting a timed 5k course that will run through the streets of Hunters Run, along with an untimed Monster Mile fun run on the property of JPMS.  Runners and walkers of all levels of ability are encouraged to participate. This event is to raise awareness of the importance of healthy lifestyles amongst JPMS students and surrounding communities, as well as to raise funds to support the school's events and classroom needs throughout the school year.

The 5k starts at 9am at JPMS.  The Monster Mile fun run will start at 9:45am.  Please be aware that all children participating in the fun run must be supervised on school property while the parent is running in the 5k.  Race volunteers can not be responsible to watch unattended children.  All 5k runners registered by October 8th will be guaranteed a t-shirt and the monster mile participants will receive a Halloween goody bag.

Feel free to come dressed in your best costume and be prepared to have a spooky fun time!  We will be collecting used athletic shoes as part of the fundraiser that will be recycled through GotSneakers.  Please bring any adult or children athletic shoes to the event (please no shoes with holes or no life remaining).

A note on strollers:  As this is a family-friendly event, our littlest participants in strollers are more than welcome. Please note that children in strollers may participate for free and do not need to be registered; however, they will NOT be assigned a bib & they MUST REMAIN IN THEIR STROLLER for the duration of the race.  All participants who will not ride in a stroller, must register for the appropriate race and pay the registration fee. For the safety and enjoyment of all of our participants, those wishing to walk or push a stroller for the 5k must start at the back of the race behind the runners. We appreciate your cooperation!

Packet Pickup will be held as follows:

Friday, October 27th, 7 p.m. – 8 p.m., John Poole Middle School
Saturday, October 28th, 8 a.m. – 8:45 a.m., John Poole Middle School

Be sure to stick around after the 5k race for the awards. If you are unable to collect your award, please contact the race coordinator to arrange pick up. 

Please note: For everyone’s safety, skates and pets are prohibited on either race course.
