Description

This event will be held at the Bowman Business Park in Williamsport, MD…..just minutes from PA, 20 minutes from Martinsburg, WV and Frederick, MD and 90 minutes from Baltimore and DC. The races will start and finish in the parking lot area between the two Breweries, Cushwa Brewing Co and Interchange Tiki Bar & Brewing. The event will include a kids .75 mile fun run, a 5K road race (runners, walkers, families invited), and a 21 & older Beer Mile. At the conclusion of the kids run, 5k, and Beer mile there will be an after-party that will start at 11:00am and end around 3pm. Participants have the option to sign up for both the 5K and Beer Mile races as the events do not overlap.

** You must be registered by July 30th to guarantee your t-shirt & size. All registrations after that day will receive a t-shirt on a first come, first served basis (while supplies last).

PACKET PICKUP: There will be 3 opportunities for you to pick up your packet.

5K Participants may have someone pick up their 5K bib with a photo copy of their ID.

Beer Mile participants must pick up their bib and show ID. 

Thursday August 22th at Interchange Tiki Bar & Brewery 5-7pm

Friday August 23th at Cushwa Brewing 5-7pm

Saturday August 24th at Interchange Tiki Bar & Brewery 7:45 - 9:00am (On the back patio if the weather is nice)

Tiki Tikes Run DESCRIPTION:

RACE LIMIT: 100 participants

COURSE: The course will start and finish within the Bowman Business Park.  A course map will be uploaded soon.

Ages: Open to all humans 12 and under

Start Time: 9:10am

All Tiki Tikes run participants will earn a medal once they cross the finish line. A t-shirt can be added to registration for $10.

5K DESCRIPTION: The 5K will navigate on the paved roads near and around the 2 Breweries (lightly rolling).

Turn by Turn directions for the Tiki Trot 5k

The race will begin (and finish) directly behind Interchange Tiki Bar & Brewery
Runners will run North through the Bowman Business parking lot for .2 miles
Runners will turn left then run .1 miles before turning left again .25 miles
Runners will turn left and go .2 miles until they reach Governor Lane Blvd
Runners will turn RIGHT onto Governor Lane Blvd, staying close to the grass for .2 miles until they reach the turn around cone. At the cone runners will turn around while staying on the same side of the street. Runners will need to run near the white line.
Runners will be on Governor Lane Blvd for .9 miles before reaching the turn around cone
Once runners turn around they will stay on Governor Lane Blvd for .7 miles until they reach the interchange entrance of the business complex.
Runners will turn Right and run for .2 miles until turning right at the front of Cushwa
Runners will stay straight for .2 miles until turning right and continuing for .1 miles
Runners will make one last turn before finishing the last .2 miles running South through the Bowman business parking lot

5K FREE TEAM COMPETITION: Race Team Competition and Scoring: We offer FREE Team Competition & Scoring! Description:
In addition to your individual entry into the 5K, you can also create or join a team at no additional charge. Teams will consist of 3 or more individual runners in the 5K and can be any combination of genders. Each runner on the team will race as an individual and be eligible for individual awards. The top 3 finishers on a team will have their individual times added together and scored for the team competition. Team awards will be given out to top team.

5K RACE LIMIT: 250 participants

5K COURSE: The course will start and finish within the Bowman Business Park and will run onto Governor Lane Blvd. A course map will be uploaded soon.

Top 3 Overall Male and Female

Top 3 Overall Male and Female Masters (age 40+)

Top Male and Female Overall in the following Age Groups:  12 and under, 13-15, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+

Awards will be handed out at the awards ceremony following the race.  No award will be mailed automatically.  For a fee of $20, we will mail your award upon your request or you can pick up at Interchange at a later time.

BEER MILE DESCRIPTION: The Beer Mile will be four laps between the two breweries on paved surface (flat course). Each lap of the Beer Mile will begin with the consumption of a 12 oz. beer. Beer provided by Interchange Tiki Bar & Brewery, and included in the price of admission. A total of 4 laps and 4 beers will be consumed before crossing the finish line. Limited entries are available for the Beer Mile so don’t delay!

BEER MILE RACE LIMIT: 80 participants

BEER MILE COURSE: The Beer Mile will consist of four 1/4 mile laps around the Bowman Business Park property. The course is flat and fast!

BEER MILE START: We will use a wave format

Wave 1: 11:10 (30 runners)

Wave 2: 11:30 (30 runners)

Wave 3: 11:50 (20 runners)

BEER MILE TIMING: This event will be professionally chip timed using disposable bib tags on the back of the race bibs! Bibs must be worn on the front of your shirt and be visible at all times. We will provide a web link to results that you can share with your family and friends so they can follow your race on their web devices.

BEER MILE DETAILS: The race begins with the sound of the starting horn and participants will drink their first beer prior to leaving the beer drinking zone. Once the beer is consumed they will run a lap clockwise around a section in between the 2 breweries and return to the beer drinking zone. They will repeat until 4 beers and 4 laps are complete and on the final lap they will finish through the finish arch. The course is flat, paved and fast! Anyone who vomits at any point will have a 3-minute penalty added on to their time.

Beer: Our beer will be brewed by Interchange Tiki Bar & Brewery. 5.2% ABV. A light lager made with American 2 row barely, pilsner malts, and flaked maize. Bittered with Bravo and Sazz. A beer you can easily drink all day. Or chug 4 during a beer mile!!

BEER MILE AWARDS:
Top Male and Top Female Only (no age groups)
Top Male and Top Female Masters (age 40+)

BEER MILE EVENT RULES: Must be 21 to participate in Beer Mile. Please have your ID ready when checking in for the Beer Mile or purchasing beer at the Brewery. NO ID = NO RACE, NO BEER. Designated Drivers are Required for Beer Mile Participants. Upon check-in for the Beer Mile, we will be verifying your designated driver is available to pick you up after the event. Volunteers will be placed in key areas to help direct race traffic. Cutting the course or interfering with other athletes will result in disqualification.

Tiki-tizer Mile pressented by High Thia'd
TIKI-TIZER MILE DESCRIPTION: The Tikitizer  Mile is open to ages 12 and up and features a High Thai'd themed Tiki-tizer eating race. The Tiki-tizer mile will be four laps around the building on paved surface (flat course). Each lap of the Tiki-tizer mile will begin with the consumption of a Tiki-tizer. Tiki-tizers and bottled water provided in the price of admission. A total of 4 laps and 4 different Tiki-tizers will be consumed before crossing the finish line. Limited entries are available for the Tiki-tizer Mile so don’t delay!

TIKI-TIZER MILE RACE LIMIT: 30 participants (more spots may be open, depending on interest).

TIKI-TIZER MILE COURSE: The Tiki-tizer Mile will consist of four 1/4 mile laps around the Bowman Business Park property. The course is flat and fast!

TIKI-TIZER MILE START: We will have 1 heat. The plan is to start the race at 12:15. *If there are only 2 waves of the beer mile we will start the Tiki-tizer mile at 11:50. This decision will be made 10 days before the race.

TIKI-TIZER MILE EVENT RULES: All items must be eaten at your assigned table. Before leaving the eating zone, you must open your mouth to show all of the item is consumed. Penalties will be applied for: vomiting anywhere on the course, using the bathroom during your event, dropping contents onto ground, not finishing each item. Volunteers will be placed in key areas to help monitor participants and direct race traffic. Cutting the course or interfering with other athletes will result in disqualification.
