Run To Prevent Child Abuse 5K/10K

In April, the State of Maine pauses to recognize the need for continued prevention efforts in the arena of child abuse. This is a time for us to recognize that each of us can contribute to promoting the social and emotional well-being of children and families in our community. Whether physical, emotional or sexual child abuse, the effects on children are devastating and lasting. This year, the Franklin County Children’s Task Force is hosting its fifth annual Run to Prevent Child Abuse 5K/10K and Kids Fun Run. Funds raised from this event benefit programming that aims to prevent child abuse and neglect before it starts.
