BIKE SAFETY CHECKLIST (MANDATORY!)
PLEASE have the attached MANDATORY Bike Safety Checklist filled out by a bicycle mechanic. Bring your child, their helmet, and bike to your local bike shop. They must okay the bike passes the checklist. Failure to have this completed AND bring with you to packet pick up will ensure your child does NOT participate. Thank you.

Description
TRI AROOSTOOK Kids- PI is a USAT sanctioned youth triathlon for ages 6 to 15. Athletes will compete as individuals at varying triathlon distances based on age. TRI AROOSTOOK Kids- PI will be capped at 125 athletes. TRI AROOSTOOK Kids- PI is the first of three youth triathlons in the series.
TRI AROOSTOOK Kids will be held on the University of Maine at Presque Isle campus. Athletes will self seed when registering based on their estimated time depending on their swim times. Swim waves of twelve athletes in six lanes will begin in the Gentile Hall indoor pool. This is followed by a bike segment on the University of Maine at Presque Isle campus, and is a closed course to vehicles. Finish this amazing event off with a run segment through the fields and trails adjacent to the campus, which brings athletes to a roaring finish the same as each adult athlete!

AWARDS
This event is about the celebration of each child starting a seemingly
monumental event, giving their best on the course, and finishing with the
accomplishment of a strong finish. It is also about the continuation of a
healthy lifestyle through exercise. With this in mind, ALL finishers will
receive awards, but there will NOT be any overall or age group awards
given.
