Description
Please join the PHS Track & Field Program for our first annual Panther Pumpkin 5K Fun Run/Walk on Saturday, October 26th! We will also feature a kid-friendly Panther Cub 1/4 Mile (400m or 1 lap around the track), and a costume contest!
ATTENTION: We can accept registrations and waiver forms online, but at this time we can only accept cash or check for payment on race day. Checks can be made out to Pennfield Schools with "Track" in the memo section.
Event Timeline:
-10:00am: Race registration opens (payment is by cash or check only on day of event)
-11:00am: FREE Costume Contest (open to all ages)
-11:30am: $5 "Panther Cub 1/4 Mile (400m)" (kid-friendly walk/run 1 lap around the track)
-12:00pm: $15 "Panther Pumpkin 5K Fun Run/Walk" (3.1m run/walk for all ages)
-1:00pm: Event clean-up
5K Course:
-Starts and ends on track.
-Course goes around middle school, loops back behind Dunlap and the high school, follows the soccer field fencing, along Pennfield road (well inside on grass) to old church, behind bus garage, around baseball diamond, back behind high school, second loop around middle school, then finishes with 2 laps on the track. -NO TIMING for this event (hense "fun run"), therefore no official race results. We may have volunteers at mile markers and finish to call out times on a stopwatch.
All proceeds will go directly to the PHS Track & Field Program to benefit our current and future athletes!
We will have free cider and donuts on the infield for all race participants! Concession stand will also be open!

Volunteer Information
We are in need of volunteers to help this event run smoothly! Slots are in one-hour increments from 9a-2p. This DOES count for volunteer hours for National Honor Society members!

Race Shirts
Race shirts ordered online may be picked up on race day at the Pennfield Track.
We will provide flyers on race day for anyone still interested in purchasing our $10 race shirts designed by Tara Forton and printed by Varsity Apparel. Sale ends by 11:59pm on Sunday, October 27th and pickup will be at Varsity Apparel later that week.
