Event Description

The 1st Annual Greg Butch Memorial 5K Run/Walk is a family-friendly event that will take place in his hometown of Bay City, MI. The race will be beginning in Bigelow Park, and is a chip-timed, out & back course along Bay City's Riverwalk.  Start time for this event is 9:00AM

Mission

To honor Gregory Scott Butch's memory by celebrating his life through his passion for healthy living, an active lifestyle, and his love for running.

Entry Fee

$20 - Pre-Entry (includes shirt); $10 - Pre-Entry (does not include shirt)

Pre-Entry Deadline: Midnight on June 17, 2018

$15 after deadline, or on race day, without shirt. 
Shirts are not available to late entries

Course

Out and back on the Riverwalk.

5K Walk Awards

First through fifth overall; male and female.

Run Age Groups

14 years & under
15 to 19 years
10 yr. age groups to 70
70 and over.

5K Run Awards

First and second place overall; male and female. First through third; male and female age group awards.

Refreshments

Water, cookies, and fruit provided.

Donations

All profits from this event will be donated to the American Cancer Society to fund Pancreatic Cancer Research.  To make additional donations, or to make donations in lieu of participating, please donate to the American Cancer Society via the Donate link above.

I know that running or walking a road race is a potentially dangerous activity.  I should not enter and run or walk unless I am medically able and properly trained.  I agree to abide by any decision of any race official relative to my ability to safely complete this event.  I assume all risks associated with this event including, but not limited to falls, contact with other participants, the effects of the weather, traffic and the condition of the road, all such risks being known and appreciated by me. Having read this waver and knowing these facts and in consideration of your accepting my entry.  I for myself and anyone entitled to act on my behalf, waive and release the Bay Area Runners Club, RRCA, Bay City Parks and Recreation, and any sponsors, their representatives, and successors from all claims and liabilities of any kind arising out of my participation in this event.
