Description
As you may know, during the evening of May 19, 2020, the Village of Sanford Michigan was devastated by the breach of two dams after a few days of record rainfall. Many homes and business in the Village were severely damaged, including the Sanford Flagpole Memorial Monument. It was first built with help from Kim Burgess, who is the Mother of LCpl Ryan Burgess, who was killed in Iraq. The Memorial was built to Honor all Veterans, living and deceased.
VM150 is a non-profit organization based out of Howell, Mi. When we saw the devastated Veterans Memorial, we knew we must act. On August 1, 2020, we are putting on a 5k road race as a fundraiser. Please help raise money to rebuild the Monument. You can join us in person (100 runner cutoff) or run virtually anywhere. 100% of the net proceeds will be donated to the rebuild.
Cost of race is 35.00 in person or 25.00 virtual. In person you will receive a shirt and dog tag medal, virtual you will receive only the dog tag medal. Thank you for supporting this event and Sanford, Mi.
