Description

Join us on Saturday, September 14th, 2024 as we head to the streets and ride some of the city's historic areas, explore street art projects and take in its fabulous architecture.  The ride provides bicyclists a unique opportunity ride the streets of Detroit in the State's largest bike ride.

Tour de Troit is a leisurely ride of approximately 25.6 miles with police escort; sweeper- and SAG-support; Medic Support;" and one rest stop that includes a snack and mechanical support. The main ride will take off at 9 a.m.

PLEASE NOTE: There will be No Parking Available in the Park or along West Jefferson adjacent to Park.

ADDITIONAL INFO!

  • Lunch, Beer & Wine (for over 21), and Faygo provided after the ride.
  • METRIC CENTURY!  62 Miles of self-guided fun with support along the way and 2 rest stops. Staggered ride starts beginning at 7:15AM.
  • Full ride details will be sent to registered riders the week of the event via email
  • This is a HELMET MANDATORY ride
  • THE RIDE STARTS AT 9 AM. You may been to line up in your assigned chutes at 8:30 AM
  • TYPE 3 E-Bikes (w Throttle) are Not allowed for this event. The TDT is a leisurely ride of 8-12 MPH on city streets.  The speed  capabilities of the Type 3  E-bike within this ride leads to an unsafe and unmanageable ride situation for both participants and the Police.  They are also not in alignment with the mission of the organization or the intent of the ride.  If you have any questions on this, please email info@tour-de-troit.org.  If you require an Electric-Assist Bike, please contact us at info@tour-de-troit.org.
  • Be sure to bring a FILLED water bottle.  We will also be providing water at the rest stop and finish of the ride.
