About the Race

The Run Your AXE Off 5K Walk/Run is a fundraiser organized by the Alpha Upsilon chapter of Alpha Chi Sigma, the pre-professional chemistry fraternity at Michigan State University. All profits from this years race will be donated to the American Chemical Society's Project SEED Program which sponsors research opportunities that allow economically disadvantaged high school students to work alongside scientist-mentors. For more information about Project Seed and the American Chemical Society please visit their website by following this link.  For more information about the Alpha Upsilon chapter of Alpha Chi Sigma please visit our website. 

Race Details

The 5K will take place on Sunday November 8th, 2015 along the Red Cedar River starting at the Michigan State Auditorium. Race day registration and packet pick up will begin at 9:30AM and the race will start at 10:30AM. Runners (and walkers) will be given race bibs and will be hand timed. Both running and walking is allowed. Awards will be given to the top finisher in each age group. Light refreshments will also be provided.

Shirts will be guranteed for all participants who register by 10/22/2015. Shirts are not guranteed for participants who register after 10/22/2015 and will be handed out on a first come first serve basis on race day. UPDATE (11/5): There are still shirts available! Register ASAP if you want to reserve one!

On site registration will be available for 20$ on the day of the race.
