Comet 5k run/walk

Come support your Grand Ledge Comet Marching Band on Sunday, July 21 for the Comet 5k run/walk. Band members will play for you along the route! Water stations and post-race snacks will be provided.  This is a family friendly event all ages and abilities are welcome! 

Parking: At Beagle Middle school, 600 W. South Street. Due to construction, please take Jenne street to South Street and pull into the Beagle parking lot. (The street (Lohne Drive)  at the roundabout will not be open.)

Registration fees: $35 through July 15. $40 from July 16 to July 20. $45 Race day. Run for FREE - details HERE. 

Registration fee students: Ages 18 and under only $25. 

Special Family Pricing: Register 3 or more people at the same time and save $3 per person. Savings automatically applied during registration. 

Awards: Overall and Age Group Awards

Race Swag: All participants who register by July 5th will receive a t-shirt. T-shirts available after that date as supplies last.

Early Packet Pickup: Saturday, July 20th from 9a-12p at the Grand ledge Track Complex: 1121 Lohne Dr, Grand Ledge, MI 48837

Race day Packet pickup: Morning of the race starting at 7:30 am

Course: The 5k run/walk starts and finishes at Grand Ledge High School

Results: Available live and on this page after the race

Proceeds: All proceeds from the event will support the Grand Ledge Marching Band.

Virtual event: If you are unable to participate in person sign up for the virtual event, t-shirts are included with registration by July 5th. Price is $40 and includes shipping. There are no awards for the virtual event, however you can enter your results after you complete your run/walk. Results can be entered on the results page.

The race will be professionally timed by the Michigan Running Foundation
