Please join Gazelle Sports in honoring Michelle Staal at the LMCU Bridge Run this year with the Michelle Staal Memorial Spirit Station, September 17th at 7:30am.
To say that Michelle was pivotal in helping to grow the running community in Grand Rapids is an understatement. Not only was she loved by everyone at Gazelle Sports who worked alongside her, but she was beloved by her many "ducklings" as she called them- her training program members over the years. Michelle was at every race, cheering each and every one of them through the finish line- often covering more distance than the race itself, just to usher someone in to their first 5k, or their bucket list marathon.
In this spirit, Gazelle Sports is hosting a cheer station at the LMCU Bridge Run to do the same for those racing. We will bring the positive energy, joy, and celebration with which we all remember Michelle.
The Michelle Staal Memorial Spirit Station will be located at The Blue Bridge just south of the Grand Rapids Public Museum. Please arrive no later than 7:30am for an 8am race start. Cowbells will be provided. Please wear a past run camp, event, or Gazelle Sports shirt if you have one! Friends and family welcome!
