All Michigan running, cycling and triathlon event directors are welcome to join the Michigan Event Directors Network for a complimentary session of Incident Command Training presented by Kent County and City of Grand Rapids Emergency Manager, Jack Stewart. This three hour training session is a standardized, on-scene, all-hazards incident management approach that allows for integration of facilities, equipment, personnel, procedures, and communications operating within a common organizational structure. Incident Command Training will provide an excellent base of preparation for event directors seeking to create new contingency/emergency preparedness plans or improve existing plans.
Training will take place on Thursday, June 7 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Kent County Sherriff's Department in Grand Rapids. Space is limited, so please register online as soon as possible.
