Description
Every year, L’Anse Creuse High School hosts a 5K run, virtual 5K run, 2 mile walk, and mini manatee mile. Last year we had 1,200 actual participants and 800 virtual runners from around the world. All proceeds are donated to the Save the Manatee Club to raise money to rescue and rehabilitate injured manatees. This event is held at Lake St. Clair Metropark, Michigan and run on a paved certified 5K course along the marinas and shores of scenic Lake St. Clair. All participants receive a commemorative manatee finisher's medal, race t-shirt and manatee bib. This event is dog friendly, as the first 170 dogs also receive a finisher's medal.
