Description
Each year the Jackson Counseling Association (JCA) gives out several scholarships to Jackson County students. This year we are organizing a 5K run with all contributions going toward these scholarships! Please come and join our Spooky Sprint for Scholars. Runners with themed attire can enter a contest for best outfit geared towards a specific theme. For example, you and your running partners could dress as the Peanuts clan or Super Heroes. Please no large bulky costumes or masks that would obstruct vision or be hazardous to oneself or others. We want this to be a safe run for all!
The LEAGUE OF ENCHANTMENT will be at this event! Wonder Woman, Thor, Batman, Spiderman, Star Wars characters and MANY MORE! They will be located at the mile markers, cheering participants on as you cross the finish line, available for photo ops and will helping with the costume contest!
Group Family pricing discount: Register 3 or more people at the same time and receive $3 off per person. Valid only until October 23rd!
Prizes will be awarded to top male and female runners in age groups (15 and under, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 and over) plus overall male and female awards. Overall top female and male walkers will also be awarded.
Register by October 19th to be guaranteed a Long Sleeve T-shirt
Location: This year the race will take place at Northwest Kidder Middle School on the corner of Rives Junction Rd. and VanHorn Rd., Jackson, MI.
The race will be professionally timed by the Michigan Running Foundation. Results will be posted during the race and on the web at Playmakers.com.

Proceeds go to the Jackson Counseling Association (JCA) which gives out several scholarships to Jackson County students. Help support our students with a donation. When you donate $50 you'll receive $10 off your entry fee, donate $25 and you'll receive $5 off your entry fee.

The challenge encourages Michiganders to engage with events that promote physical activity, health and wellness.
