What: A virtual 22 Mile Run, Walk, Bike or combination of them all.
Where: Anywhere you can safely run, walk or bike.
When: May 1st to November 11th, 2020 We are giving you plenty of time to complete this virtual race, we know it is a longer distance than your average 5K.
While we were hoping to be able to host this event in person this year alongside our Veteran and First Responder Festival in Hudsonville, MI. We chose to give people the option of doing it at their own pace and in a safe environment. A virtual event will allow participants to take part from any location. It could be your backyard, a nearby trail, on your treadmill inside your home, or even from another state! We just want to remind you to remember the rules about social distancing.
This race is helping raise awareness for those that lost their battle at home after the war was over, along with those that are on the front line and suffering from what they have been exposed to. Statistic show there are 22 Veterans a day committing suicide, the rate of suicide in First Responders is higher than those killed in the line of duty each year. The funds raised for this event will go to help raise awareness and get Veterans and First Responders help. A Veteran Helping Veteran, Inc is working to help socially engage Veterans and First Responders in Michigan. By offering events that allow them to connect with other Veterans and First Responders that may be going through the same thing.
