The Chip River Run - Half / 10k / 5k

Event Background:
This is the 1st race of the Michigan Half Marathon Series. This will be the 5th year that The Chip River Half / 10k / 5k has been hosted. All races will start and finish along the fun and naturistic trail systems located in the downtown Mt. Pleasant.

Course Description:
5k: Paved park trails with a couple dirt and grass sections.
10k: Same as the 5k with the addition of running on some side streets.
Half Marathon: Two loop course of the 10k with a bit of an add on to get the extra distance in.

Things to do while waiting during and after the race:
Spectators will have all sorts of things to do while waiting. Island park has a skate park, water park, an extremely large play place, multiple softball and baseball fields, basketball courts, tennis courts & horse shoe pitsshoot! You can even play shuffle board around the finishing stretch. Bring the family, invite your friends (CMU alumni gatherings!?!?) and enjoy the downtown Mt. Pleasant area as it blossoms into the spring season.
