Miles, Moonshine, and Music
It's almost 9 pm at Maybury State Park in Northville. Runners are gathering in the field, headlamps on, getting ready to head into the woods for Moonlight Bootlegger 5K.
The course starts with room to settle in before moving onto dirt trails and singletrack. You'll follow 300+ tea lights, music mile markers, and the headlamps ahead of you through the dark. Bring your own headlamp. You'll need it!
Back at the finish, there's live bluegrass music, runners hanging out, and two moonshine cocktails or mocktails served in your own custom keepsake mason jar.
Whether you're racing hard, trying your first nighttime trail run, or coming out with your run club, this is a different kind of Saturday night.
