Elite Feet is excited to introduce this new fitness program in our area. In collaboration with After Burn Fitness Gym in downtown Port Huron, we hope to offer and create a positive experience. Our 8 week program will introduce running/walking and light core work 2 times a week. All paces are welcome, we feel that this program will offer such a great experience to all. We will meet each Monday evening at 6:00pm and Saturday morning at 8:00am for workouts. Each session will begin with stretching and run/walk. Core workout will begin after run at gym. This program will be limited to only 15 people to begin with so each participant will get the correct individual training to reach overall end goals. Included in fee, every athlete will receive a great tec shirt, an entry into a local 5K after the 8 week program, along with professional training. Below is an introduction to our trainers.
Max Whittredge is a respected runner from the area. With a successful high school career, he went on to produce an even more successful college career earning 4 All-American Awards; among which he finished National Runner-Up in 800 meters. Max is now translating his personal success into coaching others as he has recently been named the assistant distance coach at our very own St. Clair Community College. Partnering with Elite Feet and Afterburn Fitness Club, Max is passionate about cultivating a community for first-timers and seasoned runners alike through biweekly group runs, and aiming to take each an every participant to new heights through personalized weekly training plans.
Afterburn Fitness Club is a boutique fitness studio and fitness center located in downtown Port Huron. Afterburn offers 24/7 key fob access, classes, and personal training. Owner, Certified Personal Trainer, & Class Instructor, Emily Lelito, has over ten years of experience, and a background in Strength and Conditioning programming for a variety of sports. Emily will host two 45-minute classes a week focused on functional resistance training to improve strength, core stability, and overall running performance to complement the program's weekly runs.
