Walk/run or fly as one community for RCS students!

The Rochester Community Schools (RCS) Foundation Hometown Hustle, is a fun 5K and 1 Mile run/walk, presented by Chief Financial Credit Union. Heading into the 19th year, this event has become an annual treasured tradition and principal fundraiser that brings together more than 1,100 participants and onlookers to celebrate fitness, family time and donating to a great cause - enhancing the educational experience of all RCS students! Choose between the 5K or 1 Mile COLOR fun run. While the 5K is a timed distance, the one-mile is an untimed route that has been approved for runners, walkers or wannabe flyers to be plastered with different colors from head to toe! Once the race is over, the fun continues in the parking lot of Chief Financial Credit Union, with music, some dancing, photo ops, sponsors, and an opportunity to participate with the 5K runner/walkers around the beautiful Paint Creek Trail and City of Rochester. 

Saturday, September 28th, 2024

8:00am: Opening Ceremony (National Anthem and Pledge; opening notes and thanks; raffle winners)  

8:10am: 1-mile superhero color fun run

8:30am: 5K run or walk

10:00am: Awards

What's Included in Registration?

While your registration supports the Rochester Community Schools (RCS) Foundation, each registrant will receive a swag bag that includes:

• Hometown Hustle t-shirt (register by August 31 to be guaranteed t-shirt)
• Custom race bib
• 1 Mile color run participants receive a cape
• Bonus sponsor goodies! 

Registration also includes:

• Finisher's medal 
• Opportunity to win bonus prizes
• Post-race party in the parking lot of Chief Financial Credit Union with music, dancing, photo ops, and sponsors handing out goodies
