Description
The Dystonia Medical Research Foundation Detroit Zoo walk creates awareness for the third most common movement disorder, behind Parkinson's disease and Essential Tremor. Over 500,000 people in the United States are affected by dystonia, yet it continues to be one of the most misdiagnosed and under diagnosed disorders. The Zoo Walk is a family event that allows dytonia patients and families to meet and support one another. Registering for the Zoo Walk includes access to the zoo before the general public, zoo walk t-shirt and refreshments.
