Description
This inaugural 5K run/walk is the first official “Katlyn’s Krew” fundraising event for the Charlie Sanders Foundation and “Have A Heart Save A Life”! Please join us, whether you run, walk, or just come by to enjoy the fun.
The race is a chip-timed 5K run/walk on a certified course in beautiful downtown St. Clair, 1Michigan. Participants will receive a t-shirt & goodie bag. Awards will be given to overall top finisher and male/female winners in age categories. First 100 finishers will receive a special Katlyn’s Krew 5K medal honoring the late Detroit Lion/Hall of Famer Charlie Sanders. All proceeds from this event will be used to fund heart exams for our young people to help prevent sudden cardiac arrest.
Check-in and registration starting at 7:00-8:30 a.m., pre-race program begins at 8:15 a.m. Race starts at 9:00 a.m. Online registration will close at 10:00 p.m. November 13. There will be a $5 increase in registration prices on the day of the event.

There will be a program in the start area beginning at 8:15 a.m. and the race will be followed by an awards ceremony at approximately 10:15 a.m. In addition there will be silent auction tables (we’ll list some of the items as they come in) and sales of t-shirts, bracelets and other items. Silent auctions will close right after the awards ceremony and you can pay for and pick up your items then.
Special guests will include Dr. Partha Nandi, Medical Director at WXYZ-TV Channel 7 in Detroit and AskDrNandi.com and TV show; as well as members of the Wes Leonard Heart Team in Fennville, Michigan, members of the Charlie Sanders family, “Roary” the Detroit Lions mascot, 2015 Miss Teen Detroit Hannah Winkler, and of course, our very own Katlyn Scott.
