Time: 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

CHECK-IN, PACKET PICK-UP AND DAY OF REGISTRATIONS BEGIN AT 8:00 a.m.

  • We have a big vision to make an impact locally, in our state and across this nation, that will help those affected by child trafficking and to help protect children.
  • Participants can run, walk, or do both at our event. Whether you are a competitive runner who strives to get the best 5K time or a casual walker who wants to support our event - we welcome everyone at every level of participation to our Color Run can pass through blasts of color or side step it. You and your family will help protect the purity and innocence of ALL children by raising awareness about child safety.

 

We know that we can do so much more together than we could ever do alone. We need EVERYDAY HEROES like you! When you participate in our 8th annual Everyday Heroes 5K Color Run & 1 Mile Walk, you will you be a voice for the voiceless. 

  • Super Dave DJ will be spinning the latest tunes at our high energy event
  • Stony Creek will be giving a $2 discount to our participants for their 50' water slide 
  • The Michigan State Police and the Oakland County Sheriff partner with us to provide information and tips about how to keep children safe.
  • Our Raffle will include tons of fun prizes for kids and adults alike.
  • We also educate parents and members of the community about how children are affected by social media, gaming, coercion and peer pressure.
  • We have a great after-party celebration and food.
  • Everyone will have a blast as we end the event with a with a GIANT COLOR EXPLOSION!
  • The overall top male and female finishers will win a gift card worth $50.00.
  • For those who are competing, medals will be awarded to the first-place male and female finishers of the 5K Color Run. The first 100 finishers will also receive a medal.

This event is considered a road race and walking and racing take place on paved surfaces at the beautiful Stony Creek Metropark. Runners and walkers of all ages are invited to join us. 

So much has changed in our world in the last few years. But the trafficking of children hasn't stopped during this unprecedented time in our history. It has actually spiked. Vulnerable children still need our help! We are committed to continuing our efforts to make an impact. We advocate for the protection of all children.

$30 Early Bird Rate through June 1, 2024  |  $35 regular rate from June 2, 2024 forward | $15 for Children ages 12 and Under
Referrals: $5 off for every person you refer to the event, refer 6 people and you RUN FOR FREE!

Please note that if the event is cancelled due to state mandates, it will be transformed into a virtual event.

“At any given time, there are an estimated 750,000 child predators online - and they all have a key to your house via the internet.” Says Sean Henry, Executive Assistant Director of the Criminal Cyber Response and Services Branch of the FBI.

 Everyday Heroes Race 2 Rescue Mission:

  • Be a voice for the voiceless
  • Rescue the innocent
  • Build and staff safe houses
  • Provide medical and psychological care
  • Host awareness events
  • Communicate through media ways to combat crimes against children
  • Educate and empower teachers, parents and communities regarding ways to protect children
  • Educate parents and the community about the dangers of social media, gaming, and peer pressure
  • Provide educational material with practical tips to keep children safe

** Once again this year, members of the Macomb County Sheriff's Department and the Michigan State Police will be joining us to help raise awareness so that you and your kids know how to stay aware and safe. Literature on protecting your children from human trafficking and online predators will be available.**

All proceeds are donated to Dayspring Ministries International, a non-profit 501c3 organization.

Raffle 2 Rescue              

We will hold a raffle to help raise funds for our cause. We support local business and have lots of amazing prizes for all ages. 

Ticket are $1 each, 6 for $5, and 12 for $10. Purchase your tickets and select which items you are interested in winning!
