Description
The second annual Big Little Hero Race will be held Saturday, April 16 starting and ending on campus of Northwestern Michigan College in Traverse City. The Superhero themed race starts and 9 am with a course along Old Mission Peninsula. Races include a free one mile fun run, a 5k hero race, and a 10k superhero race.
The race is a service learning experience for students in NMC's professional communications class and all proceeds benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northwestern Michigan to help match children with mentors.
All participants who register before April 1 will receive a technical running shirt. All children will be given a collectible superhero cape to wear during the fun run. There will be awards for top male and female racers in each category. As well as best male,female,child, and team costume. Following the races there will be fun, family-friendly activities.
