:: Welcome :: Bienvenue :: Aw Bisimillah ::
During COVID-19, the challenges women face every day have grown considerably. The road ahead
for women in Mali is very long, but we know that their hard work and determination to make a better
life for themselves and their children will see them through the pandemic. And we can help them.
Miles for Mali Mamas is our chance to remember, celebrate, and support the mamas who are
working hard each day to keep their families safe and beat the odds.
::::::
Miles for Mali Mamas is a two-week virtual tour through peri-urban communities in Bamako to meet and support women who are keeping their families and communities safe and healthy during COVID-19, despite challenging odds.

Questions?
What is a virtual challenge? How does it work?
It's an event that takes place entirely online. The 26.4 mile route will guide you on a tour to meet mothers around Bamako. Just do your normal workout or activity at home and convert it into miles using this chart. Then, record your miles here on the site and enjoy your tour! You can go at your own pace, and be as competitive as you want, just like in any other race.
It's after October 1st, can I still sign up?
Absolutely! You can join any time before the race ends. No matter how far you go before the end, you’ll receive information about the mothers we work with and the communities where they live.
The route is way too short/long for me!
The route is on a loop, so if you log 26.4 miles before October 15, you can keep going. We'll also make sure you have a great experience even if you don't finish the full route - what's most important is that you join us!
