The Heritage Classic has gone virtual during this time. We are continuing our tradition with a virtual race! What is a Virtual Race? A virtual race is a race that can be run (or walked) from any location you choose. You can run, jog, or walk on the road, on the trail, on the treadmill at the gym or on the track (or even at another race). You get to run your own race, at your own pace, and time it yourself. Complete the 5K anytime between October 23 and November 1.
The Heritage Classic is open to all Mayo Clinic and Mayo Clinic Health System employees, students, retirees, contractors, volunteers and their families. Runners and walkers of all abilities and ages are welcome. Proceeds support a great cause: the Mayo Clinic Hope Fund, created to help patients and families in financial need, providing assistance for indirect, unanticipated costs such as food, lodging and transportation while receiving care at any Mayo Clinic location.
FOR THOSE REGISTERING FOR A SHIRT:
Register by September 30 to receive your shirt before October 23 to have while running/walking your 5K All Registration. All registrations after September 30 will receive their shirt in November. All shirts will be mailed to home address.
If you decide to register with a T-Shirt, this is what it will look like. Ooh. Ahh. |
Be Part of a Group/TeamWhy create a Group/Team?!With the Heritage Classic being a virtual event this year we have created the option to participate as a Group/Team to rally your friends, family and coworkers. Runners who participate with a team of those close to them will ultimately have a more memorable race experience. Group/Teams can register separately with a Captain creating a group and allowing members to join, or together with multiple registrations in one transaction. Get a team going with either the Family Group OR Work Group.
Dogs Are WelcomeWhat a "Ruff" addition to the race.Dogs are allowed to participate in this year's virtual race. You will reap the benefits of outdoor activity, they will get a long run/walk. Share your photos on the Photos page.
