Description
Columbia College Science Club is hosting the Go for Greater 5K on Sunday, April 21, 2013 and is donating all of the proceeds to Children’s Hospital here in Columbia, Missouri. Science Club is known for giving back to the community and helping those in need. The Go for Greater 5K is all about going the extra distance to benefit the children in need at Children’s Hospital.
In inspiration of going the distance, there will be two finish lines at the event—one 5K finish line and one 5.1K finish line. All those who choose to Go for Greater and make it to the 5.1K finish line will be awarded with a prize!
The 5K will begin at 2pm on Sunday, April 21st, rain or shine. Check-in will open up at 1pm and t-shirts and race numbers will be distributed. There will also be a toy donation table set up so runners can donate toys to Children’s Hospital as well. (All toys must be new and unwrapped for Children's Hospital patients ages 1-18. Please no stuffed animals due to potential contamination issues).
Last year over 200 people registered and participated in the 5K benefiting Children’s Hospital and over $2,500 were donated. Let’s make this year’s 5K even better! Please register so you can Go for Greater and support the kids at Children’s Hospital!
