KCIA 3rd Annual Path to Parenthood 5K

KCIA is pleased to announce our 3rd Annual Path to Parenthood 5K. The Path to Parenthood 5K will raise funds for KCIA’s Family Building Grant that will be awarded to two families each year. The Family Building Grant provides financial support to current families enduring the costly struggle of infertility. This grant specifically assists with the costs associated with medical infertility treatments and/or adoption.

The 3rd Annual Path to Parenthood 5K will take place on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at 8:00am at Waterfall Park, 4501 S. Bass Pro Drive, Independence, MO 64055. This year we will host a 5K Run, 1 mile Awareness Walk, Kids Fun Run and a Virtual Run.

• 5K run & 1 mile walk start at 8:00am
• Kids Fun Run 9:00am (for children 9 & under)
• Each participant of the 5K will receive a finisher medal
• A beautiful course along the scenic lake at the Bass Pro Shops
• Professionally timed by Race Day Timing Solutions
• Live DJ and emcee’d by Jenny Matthews from Mix 93.3
• Great snacks and plenty of drinks along the route
• Support signs line the course

Path to Parenthood Kids Fun Run: Registration includes an event shirt and kids medal.

Path to Parenthood Virtual Run: Run your own 5k anywhere, anytime and still support us! Registration includes an event shirt, finisher medal, race bib and the shipping charges are included in the registration fee, as your packet will be mailed to you the week after the event.

Awards: Medals will be awarded to the top three male & female finishers in the following age categories: 10-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 & above

Packet Pick-Up: Friday, September 15th from 4-7 pm : location TBD or at event day of race from 7am-7:45am

Path to Parenthood 5K - Benefiting Kansas City Infertility Awareness Foundation. KCIA was established in 2011 to provide education and support to those struggling to build a family and their loved ones. We strive to give hope and encouragement through monthly support group meetings and social gatherings. In addition, we provide educational opportunities through our annual conference.
