Paws 4 Autism's Race 4 Hope 5K - Unity Village

Come on out and Woof, Walk & Wag with us for the First Annual RACE 4 HOPE 5K for children with autism, benefiting the Paws For Autism programs. This event is for the whole family with activities for ALL!

Our RACE 4 HOPE 5K event brings together dog lovers, the professionals who work with and support autism, and the community to support children with autism, neurologic disorders and their families. Paws For Autism's Canine Assisted Social Skills In Education (CASSIE) Program helps children with autism learn and improve their social and communication skills by using ABA techniques in conjunction with an autism service dog.

Paws 4 Autism is a 501(c)(3) public charity serving autistic youth in the Kansas City Metro. Donations and sponsorships are tax deductible.

The Paws 4 Autism mission is to bring Autism Service Dogs and related services, including community outreach and education, service dog awareness, informational training and social skills classes, to children who demonstrate autism spectrum behaviors.

Our vision is for all children on the autism spectrum and for those with spectrum behaviors to have access to specifically trained autism service and/or therapy dogs to assist with their peer interaction and improve social integration in their schools and communities.

RULES & GUIDELINES

Dogs must be child friendly. Any dog exhibiting aggressive behavior will be asked to leave.

Dogs must be on a leash at ALL times.

Please clean up after your pet. Poop bags will be available if needed.

Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent.
