Description
We are taking it for "Granite" you will be at Johnson's Shut-Ins Rocktober Run. Join us on October 4 for our second annual 5K and 1 mile Fun Walk. The race will take you from the main day use parking lot through the park including our Black River Trail.
Whether you are running, walking or enjoing the race as a spectator, be sure while you are here and travel the 1/4 mile trail to overlook the namesake of the park -- "The Shut-Ins." This is Mother Nature "running" at her best as the East Fork of the Black River winds its way through the rhyolite boulders formed by volcanic eruptions so many millions of years ago. Meeting location will be in the main day use parking lot. Both races will start and finish right next to this parking lot. Refreshments will be available after the race, and awards will be presented to top finishers in each age division, and overall finishers.
