Description
The CHIPS Annual Run/Walk is a 5k run/walk and a 1 mile walk. Health and wellness is the focus. Community residents and visitors from throughout the Metropolitan area have increased awareness of resources available for treatment and prevention of chronic diseases, mental illness, obesity and other health needs. This event makes the community a better place.
The festival and run/walk provide a safe, family friendly environment, a place of peace and hope in a community plagued by hunger and poverty.
Media coverage of the event and recognition of the participation of communtiy leaders and corporate sponsors from throughout the Metopolitan area raises regional awareness of the needs fo the community and the positive impact of CHIPS' clinical and community outreach services.
Funds are raised to support clinical and outreach services at CHIPS Health and Wellness Center.
