CANCELLED Run the Burg

Due to unforeseen conflicting circumstances, we regret to notify you of the cancellation of Run The Burg. This race has been a positive influence in the community and benefit to numerous local charities in need of assistance. We hope you will understand it was not a decision that was made without a lot of prayer and heartache. The organizers at Run The Burg will still continue to support the local charitable organizations as much as possible and we encourage you to do the same. You will receive a full refund by the event registration site. We hope you will keep up your training plans and enter additional local races. Thank you for your support.
Run The Burg.

Participants in all 3 events will enjoy a great fall day of running through the streets of Warrensburg and the surrounding countryside all for a great cause. All 3 races will start and finish on the streets surrounding the beautiful Johnson County Courthhouse at 200 North Holden St in Warrensburg, MO.

All participants will receive a short sleeve tech shirt with race logo, custom bib chip timing and race finisher custom medal. Awards for top 3 male and female finishers in each event (half marathon, 10K & 5K). Awards also for the top 3 male and female finishers in 5 year age groups (14 and under, 15-70 and up) for all 3 race levels. Awards will be given out as the results are available from the timers.

Drink aid stations about every 1-2 miles. GU energy gels at all aid stations. Volunteers at all important street turns. Medical tent at the finish line for basic medical needs. Online results provide through custom timing bibs.

Time limit on all events is 3hrs. This means there will not be any timing for your race after 10:45. Course will remain open however.

All participants are allowed to either walk or run the event you choose to participate in. Strollers and/or pets are allowed in the race event but will start in the back of the groups. All pets must be on non retractable leases. All pet owners are responsible for their own pet behavior and safety.
