Description
On Saturday, July 28, 2018, the Sheriff’s Posse will host a 2018 5k Adventure Run at the East Gallatin Recreation Area. There will be 6 search and rescue themed obstacles throughout the course that should provide ample challenge for participants! In 2017, volunteers spent 5500 hours on 105 missions (more than any other county in the state of Montana!) and endured all weather conditions searching for and assisting missing and injured hikers, hunters, paddlers, skiers, anglers, cyclists, runners, snowmobilers, off-road motorists, children, seniors, and the list goes on across Gallatin County. The funds raised from the 5k Adventure Run will fund training opportunities, equipment purchases, and personal gear that isn’t provided by Gallatin County.
